Participatory budgets 2018
A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.
Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.
The City Council of Esparreguera launches an initial online experience of participatory budgets.
Within the framework of this process citizens may propose and decide € 200,000 on the investments that will be carried out under the Budget of the year 2018.
Citizens will be able to submit investment proposals that will improve the public space or the municipal facilities for their modernization, adaptation, repair, maintenance or maintenance. Some examples of investments could be:
- Acquisition of elements of urban furniture.
- Improvements in the field of new technologies.
- Improvements in municipal facilities, sidewalks and roads, lighting, road signs, parks, gardens, sewerage, etc.
Proposals will be presented mainly through telematics, exceptionally they can be presented in person at the Citizen Service Office. The proposals may be submitted by any person, entity, commerce or company linked to Esparreguera. You can submit as many proposals as you like and each proposed investment presented in no case can exceed the threshold of € 40,000 (VAT not included).
